ABSTRACT: The study investigated the impact of early childhood education on the creative expression of young children. The objectives were to assess the levels of creative expression in children enrolled in early childhood education, identify educational practices that foster creativity, and examine the correlation between early creative activities and later creative abilities. A survey design was used due to its effectiveness in gathering broad-based information from diverse respondents. A purposive sampling technique was employed to select 250 children from various preschools in Oyo State, Nigeria, ensuring that all participants had exposure to structured educational programs. Findings indicated that children who participated in early childhood education exhibited higher levels of creative expression compared to those who did not. Activities such as art projects, imaginative play, and music were particularly influential. The study recommended that early childhood education curricula should emphasize creative activities and provide ample opportunities for children to engage in open-ended play and artistic endeavors.
